MAZDA VCM2 IDS

A new diagnostic interface, the Mazda VCM2. This tool is to be used with the Integrated Diagnostics Software (IDS) and also the Newer MDARS software. With this tool, you can provide complete dealership level diagnostics. For the Mazda vehicles which are 2013 and newer. Additionally, the VCM2 tool now has the ability to work wirelessly with your laptop or PC without any hardware or software upgrades. This new function allows expert technicians to carry out vehicle diagnostics and repairs remotely by simply connecting up the VCM2 tool to the vehicle.

The diagnostic tool provides coverage for the new Customer Flight Recorder (CFR). The CFR is an upgrade of the Vehicle Data Recorder (VDR). Essentially, it’s a cable enabling the VCM2 to record data. This is extremely useful for technicians and encourages increased efficiency when carrying out diagnostics for intermittent problems.

Software

IDS software is used for all current vehicles up to 2019
The software MDARS is used on Mazda 7th generation vehicles, starting with the new models stated below:

• 2019 Mazda3, 2020 CX-309
• Software subscriptions are available annually and run from January to December

• Software subscription is required annually – expires 31st December
