This video from Lock50 demonstrates unlocking a locked RFA module on a 2025 Land Rover Discovery Sport (L550) using the Lock50 JLR Key Tool 1.3.62.0. The RFA module initially prevented key programming, displaying a "locked" status. The tool establishes a DoIP and CAN wire connection to the vehicle's RFA, performs a software download and rewrite, successfully changing the RFA lock status to "unlocked." This enables new keys to be added, simulating service mode without extra keys.

Hey guys, Sean with ING Locksmith. We are on a 2025 Discovery. The module on this vehicle is locked. We're doing the testing time. I'm just giving you guys a little bit of a teaser so you guys can see the module is locked and if you try to add a key, it's impossible. So we're going to demonstrate and show you guys is our latest and greatest and hottest feature ever. So we're gonna go here, we're gonna go to unlock. We're gonna say okay. We'll talk about the connection. It is a bit of a different connection and Elyana will update you guys about the licensing, but I just wanna show you the actual procedure and and the success of this of this new breakthrough that we just we just, we're literally testing, it's not even done yet. But this is huge for us and it's gonna be amazing for you guys. I'll just uh, wait through the process, downloading files, rewriting the files to the RFA. Please remember this RFA is locked. Meaning you cannot add keys unless you get it into service mode or you can present two keys or more in the car. And this video is a one piece so you guys can see and that means not getting to the RFA, not pulling anything out. It's just two connections. You have to connect via DoIP, meaning internet cable and then to the CAN wires. The easiest ones are in the door. So we're connected in two levels to the vehicle. And this is how the process is happening, it's happening live. There's no editing of the video, it's regular time. Almost there. All right. There we go, successful. I'm just gonna go back to the car to refresh the screen. I'm gonna scroll down to our PEP system and once I click it guys, whatever showed locked a second ago is unlocked and you can add keys just like the car is in service mode or anything else.
