Damp Sensor for Jaguar & Land Rover — Configure damp sensor – Damp Sensor (direct to climate control ECU). Set in software via the CCF and coded to your VIN / As-Built over the OBD port — remote & mobile.
The dropdown above maps to these values in the Car Configuration File:
| CCF address | Parameter | Block | Byte | Bits | Values (from the CCF data set) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 0x1A77 | DAMP SENSOR | 0x1A | 7 | 7–0 | 01 = Without Damp Sensor, 02 = Damp Sensor (direct to climate control ECU), 03 = Damp Sensor (combined sensor CAN to climate control ECU). |
The Damp Sensor option sets the Car Configuration File values above. It needs the humidity (damp) sensor. Where the hardware is present but the option was never enabled we switch it on; software cannot add hardware that is not fitted — we check your As-Built first and set only what your car carries.
Earliest model year the options existed on each line:
| Model | Platform | Model years | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Range Rover / Range Rover Sport | L405 / L494 | 2013–2022 | Only where the option was offered on this line and the supporting hardware is fitted. |
| Discovery / Defender / Discovery Sport / Evoque | L462 / L663 / L550 / L551 | 2015–2026 | Current Land Rover lines; availability depends on market and fitted hardware. |
| Jaguar XE / XF / F-Pace / E-Pace / I-Pace | X760 / X260 / X761 / X540 / X590 | 2015–2026 | Jaguar lines sharing the same CCF data set. |
| Range Rover / Range Rover Sport | L460 / L461 | 2022–2026 | Current MLA platforms; flag present where the feature was offered. |
Earliest model years the CCF flag existed on each line; availability depends on fitted hardware and market. We confirm by VIN before any change.
Depending on model year and architecture, Damp Sensor is enabled by one of two methods. We pick the correct one for your VIN — you do not need to know which in advance.
Either route is performed over the OBD diagnostic port, remote and mobile. Where the feature needs hardware your car does not carry, the hardware must be fitted first — software cannot add it. The change is reversible the same way.
