Climate Control Unit configuration for Jaguar & Land Rover — set the correct climate system type and number of zones (single / dual / 3 / 4-zone) so the heating and air-conditioning controls match your vehicle. Set via the CCF and coded to your VIN / As-Built over OBD, remote & mobile.
| Dropdown option | What it means |
|---|---|
| Not supported | The parameter is not supported on this vehicle / platform. Do not select. |
| Electronic Climate Control | Generic Electronic Climate Control (ECC) system. |
| Air Condition | Basic air-conditioning system. |
| Automatic Temperature Control | Automatic Temperature Control (ATC) system. |
| Without Air Condition | No air-conditioning — heater/ventilation only. |
| E C C - High / Medium / Low Performance | Electronic Climate Control tuned to high, medium or low performance — pick the level matching your vehicle's build. |
| Single / Dual / 3 / 4-Zone ATC | Automatic Temperature Control with one, two, three or four independently controlled temperature zones. |
| Single / Dual / 3 / 4-Zone MTC | Manual Temperature Control with one, two, three or four temperature zones. |
| Error | Factory place-holder value — not a real choice, do not select. |
The dropdown above maps to these values in the Car Configuration File:
| CCF address | Parameter | Block | Byte | Bits | Values (from the CCF data set) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 0x0687 | Climate Control Unit | 0x06 | 8 | 7–0 | 01 = electronic climate control, 02 = air condition, 03 = automatic temperature control, 04 = without air condition, 05 = ECC high performance, 06 = ECC medium performance. |
| 0x4057 | Climate Control Elements 3 – Number of Climate System Zones | 0x40 | 5 | 7–5 | 01 = 1 zone, 02 = 2 zone, 03 = 3 zone, 04 = 4 zone, 05 = 5 zone, 06 = 6 zone. |
| 0x1D27 | Climate Zone User Layout | 0x1D | 2 | 7–0 | 01 = 1 temperature, 02 = 2 temperature, 03 = 3 temperature, 04 = 4 temperature (per temperature/distribution/blower layout). |
The climate control unit configuration tells the car how many zones and what type of climate system it has. It needs the matching blowers, actuators and (for extra zones) the rear system fitted. Where the hardware is there but the configuration is wrong or down-rated we correct it; software cannot add zones that have no hardware — we check your As-Built first.
Earliest model year the option existed on each line:
| Model | Platform | Model years | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Range Rover | L322 | 2002–2012 | Two to four zone climate across the range. |
| Range Rover / Range Rover Sport | L405 / L494 | 2013–2022 | Two to four zone climate across the range. |
| Range Rover / Range Rover Sport | L460 / L461 | 2022–2026 | Multi-zone climate where fitted. |
Earliest model year the configuration existed on each line; it needs the matching climate hardware fitted. We confirm by VIN.
Depending on model year and architecture, the Climate Control Unit is enabled by one of two methods. We pick the correct one for your VIN — you do not need to know which in advance.
Either route is performed over the OBD diagnostic port, remote and mobile, with no bench work and no parts. The change is reversible the same way.
