ATPC (All Terrain Progress Control) enable for Land Rover — switch on low-speed off-road cruise control and its related functions (Hill Descent Control, Low-Speed Progress Control). Set via the CCF and coded to your VIN / As-Built over OBD, remote & mobile. Requires the supporting chassis hardware.
What this activation does
- Enables ATPC — an off-road cruise control that holds a low set speed over rough terrain so you can steer while the car manages throttle and braking.
- Choose the combination that matches your hardware — Hill Descent Control (HDC) only, Low-Speed Progress Control (LSPC) only, or both.
- Software enable via the CCF — the supporting brake/chassis hardware must be present. Coded to your VIN / As-Built.
Choose the option that matches your vehicle
| Dropdown option |
What it means |
| Not Supported |
The vehicle lacks the hardware — factory place-holder, do not select. |
| No HDC or LSPC |
Neither function enabled. |
| HDC only |
Enables Hill Descent Control only. |
| LSPC only |
Enables Low-Speed Progress Control only. |
| HDC and LSPC |
Enables both Hill Descent Control and Low-Speed Progress Control (full ATPC). |

Factory place-holder value — not a real choice, do not select. |
Key terms explained
-
ATPC (All Terrain Progress Control): A low-speed off-road cruise control that keeps the car moving steadily over difficult ground so the driver can concentrate on steering.
-
Hill Descent Control (HDC): Automatically controls braking on steep descents to hold a slow, safe speed.
-
Low-Speed Progress Control (LSPC): Maintains a chosen crawl speed on- or off-road, similar to a very low-speed cruise control.
-
CCF (Car Configuration File): The master list of feature flags stored in the vehicle. Setting a value here switches a factory feature on or off. All of these activations are done by editing the CCF, not by fitting parts.
-
As-Built: Your vehicle's original factory configuration record, tied to the VIN. Every change is written back against your As-Built so the car stays consistent with JLR records.
-
Coded to your VIN: The change is applied to your specific vehicle over the OBD diagnostic port — remote and mobile, no bench work and no new hardware.
-
Error / Undefined: Factory enumeration place-holders that exist inside the parameter list. They are not real choices — do not select them. Pick the plain-English option that matches your vehicle.

All Terrain Progress Control is the low-speed off-road cruise that holds a set speed over rough ground. It needs the terrain hardware (ABS/stability, hill-descent) and the switch pack fitted. Where the hardware is there but ATPC was never enabled we switch it on; software cannot add the off-road hardware — we check your As-Built first.
ATPC on Jaguar Land Rover — 2013 to 2026
Earliest model year the option existed on each line:

Model years |
Notes |
| Range Rover / Range Rover Sport |
L405 / L494 |
2013–2022 |
ATPC with hill-descent and low-speed-progress control. |
| Land Rover Discovery |
L462 |
2017–2024 |
ATPC on the Discovery where the off-road hardware is fitted. |
| Range Rover / Range Rover Sport / Defender |

2020–2026 |
ATPC and ATPC Pro on the current platforms. |
Earliest model year ATPC existed on each line; it needs the off-road hardware and switch pack. We confirm by VIN.
Two ways we switch this on — both remote, no parts
Depending on model year and architecture, ATPC (All Terrain Progress Control) is enabled by one of two methods. We pick the correct one for your VIN — you do not need to know which in advance.
-
CCF editing over OBD — on cars that carry the off-road hardware and switch pack we set the ATPC values above in the Car Configuration File, write them back against your As-Built, then re-configure the chassis and terrain modules so All Terrain Progress Control works.
-
OEM-tool online configuration — where the module holding the flag needs its configuration re-issued from the manufacturer’s programming database rather than a direct CCF value, the same result is completed remotely through the OEM diagnostic tool’s online configuration for that module.
Either route is performed over the OBD diagnostic port, remote and mobile, with no bench work and no parts. The change is reversible the same way.
