What SW03 does
- Turns a Jaguar / Land Rover KVM (Keyless Vehicle Module) from 2010–2020 into a working key even when all keys are lost. It works from the module dump, so you never need a running key to start.
- Covers KVM part numbers AH32, BJ32, DPLA, FK72, HPLA with the MC9S12XEP100 MCU (also XET256 / XEQ384).
- The control module is the RFA (Remote Function Actuator) / KVM — never the engine ECU.
How it works
- Read the KVM EEPROM and D-Flash out of the MC9S12XEP100 with your bench reader (the dump).
- Load the dump into the Lock50 JLR Key Tool on HW04 or HW01 and open SW03.
- SW03 makes a precoded dealer key (or adds an unlocked new / used key) into the dump.
- Write the new dump back to the KVM — the key now works for remote and keyless start.
Read this before you quote the job. A key added into the KVM dump gives remote and keyless start but NOT emergency start. For emergency start as well, do not add a new ID — emulate an existing key onto a Lock50 change-ID key HW05 (433 MHz)–HW10 (315 MHz), which carries remote, keyless and emergency start.

Hardware, cars and years
- Runs on HW04 (any package A to C+) and on HW01. The key is read on the tool’s own antenna — bench job, no car, no OBD.
- KVM part numbers: AH32, BJ32, DPLA, FK72, HPLA — MCU MC9S12XEP100 (also XET256, XEQ384). 2 plug and 3 plug KVMs.
- Keys emulated: JLR PCF7953P (HITAG Pro), 433 MHz and 315 MHz.
- Cars: Jaguar and Land Rover 2010–2020 with a KVM — Range Rover L405, Range Rover Sport L494, Evoque, Discovery 4 L319, Discovery 5 L462, Discovery Sport L550, Freelander 2, Velar L560, Jaguar XF X250 / X260, XJ X351, XE X760, F-Pace X761, F-Type X152.
Key facts
- All keys lost is supported — the job runs from the KVM dump, no working key required.
- Adding a new key to the dump = remote + keyless start only. Emergency start needs a Lock50 change-ID emulator key HW05 (433 MHz)–HW10 (315 MHz).
- On 2015–2020 TCU cars, copying the existing ID with SW09 avoids the no-start problem that a new dump ID can cause.
- Read the key first with SW01 (PCF7953) so you know the frequency and lock state before you start.
