What SW08 does

  • Reads a BCM (Body Control Module) dump — the ST95128 serial EEPROM on the JPLA / L8B2 / M8E2 / R8E2 BCM — and emulates the key ID and crypto immo data onto a Lock50 change-ID key.
  • Copy / emulate the key onto HW13 (433 MHz) or HW14 (315 MHz) (PSFOB, without UWB) to emergency start the car and use the remote to open and close.
  • The immobiliser data lives in the BCM external EEPROM (ST95128) here — the control module is the BCM, never the engine ECU.
  • All keys lost is supported straight from the BCM dump — no running key is needed.

How it works

  1. Read the ST95128 serial EEPROM off the BCM (the dump).
  2. Load the dump into the Lock50 JLR Key Tool on HW04 or HW01 and open SW08.
  3. SW08 emulates the key ID and crypto onto HW13 (433 MHz) or HW14 (315 MHz) (match the car frequency).
  4. Use the key: remote to open / close, and hold it under the steering column to emergency start.

  • Runs on HW04 (any package A to C+) and on HW01. The key is read on the tool’s own antenna — bench job, no car, no OBD.
  • BCM part numbers: JPLA / L8B2 / M8E2 / R8E2 — immo held in the ST95128 external EEPROM.
  • Keys emulated: Lock50 change-ID PSFOB (without UWB) HW13 (433 MHz) / HW14 (315 MHz).
  • Cars: Land Rover and Jaguar 2017–2025+ that carry the key immo in the BCM ST95128.
Keys and UWB. HW13 (433 MHz) / HW14 (315 MHz) are PSFOB (without UWB) keys. On a PSFOB (without UWB) car they give full keyless. On a car built with a PEPSFOB (with UWB) key, an emulated HW13 (433 MHz) / HW14 (315 MHz) gives remote and emergency start, and for full door-handle / walk-away keyless you fit an OEM PEPSFOB (with UWB) key HW21 (433 MHz)–HW28 (315 MHz). Read the key with SW02 and the car with SW20 first so you know which one the car needs.
