What SW13 does

  • Adds an unlocked JLR NCF29A1 key — PEPSFOB (with UWB) or PSFOB (without UWB) — into the RFA (Remote Function Actuator) MCU D-Flash dump read on the bench.
  • The added key gets remote and full keyless on both RFA types — no UWB-off step, no software function on the car.
  • The RFA D-Flash dump is read off the bench and loaded into Lock50 (the RFA is the SPC, and if it is unlocked the SPC560B60L3 MCU is unlocked and the D-Flash reads out); the key is then added into the dump (SW05 / SW07 are the sister read / emulate functions).
  • Used / locked keys cannot be added with SW13 — that is SW14.

How it works

  1. Read the RFA MCU (SPC560B) D-Flash dump on the bench with SW05 / SW06 / SW07 (K8D2 / J9C3 / M9R3 families).
  2. Read the new key on the HW01 / HW04 antenna — it must be unlocked (check with SW02).
  3. Open SW13, load the dump, add the key into a free key slot and save the dump.
  4. Write the dump back to the RFA and refit — the key does remote and keyless straight away.

Key facts

  • Keys added through the RFA dump get remote + full keyless — locked or unlocked RFA, no UWB-off.
  • A key added via the dump route does not carry emergency start — for emergency start copy an existing car key onto HW13 (433 MHz) / HW14 (315 MHz) change-ID keys.
  • Unlocked keys only — used / locked keys go through SW14.
